Jerome R. Siegel has practiced in the South Florida area, particularly in Broward County, for over thirty years. His areas of practice include probate, guardianship and elder law litigation. Mr. Siegel has had extensive experience as a civil litigator and has over the last thirty years litigated hundreds of cases involving civil litigation, marital law, probate, guardianship and elder law litigation.

Mr. Siegel has been retained by other elder law attorneys to litigate issues that arise in probates and guardianships that require an attorney well versed and educated in litigation.

As an Elder law attorney for over 35 years, Jerome Siegel does much more than just prepare wills and other documents. He also represents clients in guardianships, probate, adult protective services cases and other court matters. In addition, as an elder law attorney, he has learned to be very observant about his clients and how they are coping with various problems, including physical illness and physical changes, mental status including loss of memory and changing behavior, whether there may be abuse, neglect or exploitation, identity theft and whether they are being taken advantage of. He believes in being as available as possible to advise and help his clients with these very difficult issues.

As someone who has been a CAREGIVER himself, Mr. Siegel is very aware of the difficulties and issues that face caregivers in this day and age. He makes a concerted effort to consult with caregivers to make suggestions and give advice that may make their difficult task easier. He has a familiarity with area services for caregivers, including respite services, care personnel and medical providers.

The attorney also tries to help his clients, whether middle aged or older, to try to plan for their older years by recommending long term home health polices, revocable living trusts and related documents that help clients plan for the future.
